The 02-07 Subaru WRX Fortune Auto 500 Coilovers are a perfect blend of value and performance for everyday street driving and the occasional day at the track. Fortune’s new Generation 5 version of the 500 series coilover incorporates digressive piston technology which allows for tremendous amounts stiff low speed compression/rebound force. This gives more control of driver inputs such as roll, dive, and squat. However, at fast stroke speeds the suspension becomes supple in response to bumps and irregularities in the road for superior mechanical grip at all times. Revised jetting and increased adjustment range makes for a more accurate damper control of the FA500’s 24 levels of adjustable compression/rebound, Every click in the adjustment range has a very profound effect on damping force, and each click is very audible and distinct. Each Fortune Auto coilover is hand assembled, dyno-tuned, tested and matched at Fortune Auto North America in Richmond VA.
Spring Rates – Each application includes Fortune’s recommended spring rates for a great balance of ride quality and performance, and is perfect for street driving/occasional track duty. Custom springs are available between 4k and 16k on Fortune springs and will be re-valved appropriately. Custom rates are perfect for those looking to tailor their vehicles ride to nearly any purpose (race/drift/stance etc.) If you would like choose custom spring rates please note this in the comments field during online checkout or with your sales rep.
Swift Spring Upgrade – Swift’s R & D team created a material called H5S.TW. This advanced alloy is stronger then regular silicone chrome material. Swift made the spring wire thinner, and could wind the springs with fewer coils, which greatly decreased weight while dramatically increasing available stroke. If choosing the swift spring upgrade, please note your spring rates in the comments field. Swift spring rates are available between 4k and 34k and will be valved appropriately.
Hyperco Spring Upgrade – Hyperco springs are manufactured from the high tensile chrome silicone steel available. These springs are designed to be as light as possible with maximum deflection and at the same time enduring the stresses of the extreme conditions common to racing. The Hyperco spring upgrade is perfect for those looking to significantly lower or stance their vehicle with the stiffer spring rates that are offered. If choosing the Hyperco spring upgrade, please note your spring rates in the comments field at checkout. Spring rates for these are available between 2k and 68k and will be valved appropriately.
Radial Bearing Mounts – Radial bearings are essential for noise-free operation on vehicles with front strut configurations, isolating spring movement from the rest of the coilover assembly. Fortune now uses a high-quality radial Koyo Japan bearing that integrates into the upper spring perch. Now when the coilover assembly turns, our new radial bearing mount allows the camber plate and piston shaft to spin separately from the coilover assembly. This eliminates approximately 95% of the noise associated with camber plates on a strut vehicle.
Damper Adjustment Extenders – These are to help save the time and trouble of removing the interior of your car to change the damper on your rear coilovers. The extenders attach to the adjuster knob on top of your coilover for easy and quick adjustments.
**500 series coilovers are custom built to order in the USA. Most applications have a 1-2 week lead time.

***These coilovers were originally developed for the 02-07 WRX but will fit the Forester as well. Many Forester owners use the 02-07 WRX coilovers because they offer a substantially lower ride height than the Forester specific application. Though this is common practice for Forester owners we still strongly advise that you do your research, check with other Forester owners to get first hand feedback & please purchase at your own risk.***
