If you’re into customizing your car and haven’t heard of the SCCA (Sport Car Club of America) this is something you need to read. The 2007 Eclipse you see in the pictures is one of our customers that daily drives his car but also stays pretty active with his local SCCA autocross scene on the weekends.

Autocross tests your ability to push your driving skills to the limits while racing around a course marked with traffic cones. Airfields and large parking lots are typical venues for the over 1000 Autocross events held throughout the United States each year. You do not need the newest or highest end car to compete and drivers from all skill levels are welcome. “SCCA is where anyone from a beginner to a seasoned veteran can improve their driving skills and have a blast doing it.” – Quote from SCCA.com

Antonio Adrade, owner of the 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS started adding some light performance parts to his Eclipse and decided to see what the car was capable of. After a quick zip code search on SCCA’s website he found the closest event location and headed out. Here’s a little info from Antonio about his experience so far.

“My chapter dedicates special attention to newcomers. They even have season competitors walk the course with you before you race. At the beginning of every event they go over the rules, safety, etc. They divide the racers into 2 or 3 groups. While a group is racing the other is working safety and picking up cones on the track. Your first few events they will consider you a novice and your times will be compared to the other novices. It’s a great place to meet people and to push the limits of your vehicle. It’s a blast, GUARANTEED!” – Antonio Andrade

One Hundred invite only participants racing across the U.S. over an eight day time frame full of secret locations, crazy parties, and of course some of the most amazing cars in the world. This is what the Bullrun Rally is all about. It’s fun to read about this highly prestigious event but what about us average Joes that want to get involved? Well, unfortunately most of us don’t get to play with the big boys in this awesome event but it doesn’t mean we can’t have fun of our own right?

This is where the Knowledgeable Nonsense 2K10 Road Rally comes into play. On September 7th 2010 fifty cars and fifty motorcycles will set off in Utah, traveling to 5 secret locations with the final spot ending in Las Vegas for one hell of an after party at the Palms. Oh, and of course a $2000 1st place cash prize.

This 1-day rally is focused on the average car and motorcycle enthusiasts that work hard to get their vehicles to look and perform the way they want. With that said it was a large focus to make sure this event was affordable to anyone that wants to participate. It’s a $225 car entry fee or $175 motorcycle entry fee. The fee will include entry to the 2K10 Rally, sponsor package, 12×24 poster of your vehicle, and entry to the Palms after party w/ drinks covered all night. If you are not doing the Rally you can still come party, tickets to the party are $100.
